Customer Delivery Engineering Technical Leader

We are looking for an accomplished Customer Delivery Engineering Technical Leader to lead large-scale customer engagements and address complex technical challenges. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to mentoring and developing talent. As a pivotal member of the team, you will work cross-functionally to drive product enhancements, contribute to the development of intellectual capital, and ensure the successful delivery of innovative solutions.  

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Lead customer delivery engagements, providing technical expertise and escalation support for complex issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to demonstrate the value of Cisco services and solutions.
  • Drive customer technology transitions by influencing solution architectures and service implementations.
  • Develop and execute customer simulations to address complex problems and compatibility issues.
  • Lead the creation and dissemination of technical collateral, intellectual capital, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide escalation support to document and resolve technical challenges in Cisco products and solutions.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Role-Specific Responsibilities:

  •   Contribute to areas such as customer problem resolution, innovation, engineering engagement, intellectual capital, and talent development.
  • Lead the creation and distribution of intellectual property, including digital assets like scripts and software, tailored to various audiences.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to address complex problems, identify serviceability issues, and drive resolutions.
  • Serve as a technical expert, offering guidance on complex escalations and problem-solving.
  • Continuously enhance technical expertise across relevant domains and adjacent technologies.
  • Consult and collaborate with customers and Cisco stakeholders to plan, design, install, configure, and optimize Cisco products and services, ensuring business outcomes are met.
  • Support pre-sales activities by translating business requirements into comprehensive solution designs.

Scope:

  • Interface with customers, senior leadership, engineering teams, partners, field personnel, and other key stakeholders across the organization to drive technical and business outcomes.  

Complexity:

  • Serve as a technical expert in multiple technologies, applying knowledge of industry practices to ensure products and solutions meet expected standards. 

Expertise and Requirements:

  • BS in a technical field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field) or equivalent experience, with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven expertise in Cisco Security and Routing & Switching.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level customers with SD-WAN solutions, including Cisco’s Viptela SD-WAN.
  • Hands-on experience with PnP (Plug and Play), APIC-EM, or similar Network Management Systems.
  • Proficiency with VPNs and other security technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with vManage, templates, and policies for Cisco SD-WAN.
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNP are required; CCIE (Wireless, Routing & Switching, or Service Provider) is highly desired.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as IGP, EGP, LISP, and VxLAN.
  • Familiarity with platforms like ISR routers, vEdge, cEdge, vManage, and the Catalyst family.

Skills:

  •  Strong customer support experience with high-profile enterprise customers (3+ years).
  • Deep knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work with state-of-the-art technologies and solutions in dynamic environments.
